Media Matters: The Workshop is coming! We hope you have marked and saved the dates June 8-11, 2003 for this engaging Washington, DC workshop on how to make the media a successful part of your project's accomplishments.
What's in it for you?
You'll learn . . .
-- how to tell your project's story in a concise, newsworthy way, with personal hooks -- how reporters work, what they look for, what "turns them on."
You will learn how you can help the reporter get your story right, and you'll learn more about the pressures and frustrations they face in reporting your story.
You'll also learn how to plan a successful strategy for your reports' dissemination. Why does timing matter? Why should the guy on the street care about your research? Why is your report important to the public? Workshop trainers will provide ways to successfully plan to get your message heard, and teach you how to leverage the resources at hand in getting your message out.
